I GOT TO SEE MY GRANDMA!!!

On Wednesday I took a mini road trip down to Utah to spend some time with my Grandma who came into town and to throw a baby shower for my sister in law Crystal and baby Ada! It was a long drive but so far the trip has been wonderful!! I love all this family time I am getting.

It's been nice visiting my family and having my Grandma in town and being able to spend so much time with her. I don't get to see her that often and I love her very much so I am trying my best to soak up every second I can with her. She amazing! It has also been nice to see the nieces and nephew so much. They had a sleepover on Wednesday and that was a blast to be able to hang out with them for so long. They are the cutest and some of my best friends! I am such a family person that this has been a dream come true! Ha ha! I love them all SOO much!

While being here my mom has wanted my help decorating. So I have helped her with her gallery wall in her living room. It is coming along nicely and looks beautiful. She's pretty good at decorating that is where I get my want to decorate attitude from.

Mr. Otis has really taken a liking to me, He loves me! He has been playing with me non stop and cuddling with me. He's pretty darn cute so I don't mind it. Plus I miss my Maggie girl so he helps me miss her not as much ha ha. Isn't he so little and cute?!

On Saturday we held a baby shower for my sister-in-law Crystal & my new niece Ada! (Can't wait to meet her!) We had a fun flamingo theme since my brother and her kinda like them. Ada got A TON of clothes so I think she is set for awhile! They also got some fun little things for pictures once she is born. She is going to be one spoiled baby!

Hot Date!

On Saturday my hunk of burning love (name the song..) took me out on one hot date! Ha ha! We went to play black-light mini golfing and then out to dinner at Noodles & Company. Oh boy was that place delicious! The mini golf course was so much fun; they have it split up into three rooms. The jungle, the ocean and then the prehistoric era.. yup, we met some dinosaurs.

Welcome to the jungle! I was amazed at how detailed everything was it made it that much more fun. This is a smaller course and you can get through it pretty quickly but thankfully they let you play twice! And it is a mixture of easy and not so easy which is awesome.

Ta-Da! We are going to get ate by a shark now and enter the ocean ha!

This is probably my favorite room! It is so cute. They have a wrecked ship, sharks, fishies and even mermaids!

Here is James mocking the shark.. I think it's his spirit animal! Ha ha. Look how much detail they have!! There is something on every wall it is truly spectacular!

And now to meet the friendly and not so friendly dinosaurs! Isn't this dino soo cute?! I wish I had a pet dinosaur.. too bad they are dead. I wonder what it would be like to ride one... hmm..

Dinosaurs cover the walls along with the plants and volcanoes!

I took this picture for my niece because she LOVES dinosaurs!

Once we were all done mini golfing we went to fill up on some good food! We recently got Noodles & Company so we decided to go and give it a whirl.

I got the Pad Thai and James got Spaghetti and Meatballs! I think he misses that because we rarely ever eat it because I am allergic to spaghetti sauce. Fun huh? Ha ha!

I am pretty spoiled to have such an awesome husband who will still take me out on dates! I sure do love him and often wonder how I got so lucky! Hope you enjoyed going on our date with us!

Hola Nacho!

This last weekend we had one special visitor at our house! James' brother Brandon came up to visit us or should I say... visit James. Ha ha just kidding! He hung out with me and the grandparents a little bit too. He wasn't here very long but we tried our best to pack in a full weekend of fun and relaxation.

On Friday is when Brandon arrived. We went down to the grandparents and had ourselves a meat and taters dinner and visited for a little while. After supper and visiting we headed up to our house to show Brandon around. After the tour we hit up the wonderful hot baths over in Lava Hot Springs! It was so delightful!

On Saturday we went over to the grandparents house again to visit for awhile before we headed into Pocatello to do a little pre game day grocery shopping and to also check out our new sports store in the mall! Woo-hoo! Once we were done we came back to watch the BYU game. Good thing they won so that the boys were in a good mood ha ha. Once that was done The Mr. made his famous Jollof Rice. This is a recipe that he brought back with him from his Mission to Ghana. IT IS DELICIOUS! Maybe next time he makes it I will take pictures and have him blog the recipe for you all to try.

On Sunday we went to church, ate some Roast and Brandon went to visit our horse friends and feed them a little treat! He was in heaven. I think he has missed seeing the country and horses.

Once we were done with that Brandon and James learned from Grandpa how to lasso. So... it was only fitting that Brandon lassoed some chickens and Maggie. He didn't catch any chickens but he did catch Maggie and she was such a good sport about it. I sure do love my puppy ha ha.

It was such fun having Brandon come on up for a visit! We sure did miss him so it was nice having his company. We both sure do hope he comes back to visit again soon. Like I have said many times we love our family and love when they come up to visit! We always have a blast with them.

This is Halloween! - House Tour

This is the first time in our home that I have been able to decorate for Halloween and I was beyond excited especially because I had a front porch of my own that I could go all crazy with it! I absolutely LOVE decorating for the holidays but Fall/Halloween time is one of my favorites because it just makes everything seem so cozy and fun. If you remember from last year.. I DO NOT like Halloween due to the scary things that come with it. I DON'T do scary and thankfully the Mr. doesn't either. (Got lucky there!) So everything that I decorate with is considered the "cute" part of Halloween ha ha. Well enough chit chat, I sure hope you all enjoy this mini house tour of how I decorated for Halloween!

The Porch:
I got the cute pumpkin garlands at the Dollar Store last year and also last year my mom gave me the "welcome" pumpkin that she used to have hanging outside at her house. I'm so lucky! I thought that this was a warm and inviting way to welcome people to our home and to enjoy the decorations.

The corn stalks are from The Grandparents garden they were kind enough to let me have them for decorations! The scarecrow I got from the Dollar Store and unfortunately he got ate by some goats so he is a little banged up but I still used him anyways! Hey it adds character right? The metal spider is from Family Dollar and I got it three years ago after Halloween for a whopping .25 cents! The metal pumpkin is again something that my mother passed down to me! Thanks mommy. Ha ha! The large orange pumpkin came again from The Grandparents garden and they were so kind to share! The white ones came from this persons house here in the town that sells pumpkins for way cheap! We always go there to pick our pumpkins to decorate with and to carve later on for Halloween!

The wreath is one that I made! My mom got the berry wreath I believe at Shopko three years ago one for me and one for her! I got the bow at the Dollar store along with the big sparkly spiders. The Boo! rug I got two years ago at Lowe's after Halloween for $2.00! The "welcome" with the witches hat and feet was again something my mommy gave me. The red stool is a prop I use for photography and also for my fall decorating because it is too cute! The creepy sign my mom gave me but it came from the Dollar Store as well as the three blow up Ghosts which I got this year! In my Fairy Garden the Halloween house came from the Dollar Store and the fairy and scarecrow came from a store that went out of business. James' grandmother bought them for me because she wanted to help decorate my fairy garden. The truck that is holding the pumpkins came from Joann's for $1.99!! It was too cute I just had to get it. Again the pumpkins you can see are from the persons house here in town.

Hey look.. another scarecrow from the Dollar Store! I bought him to replace the other but ended up using both! Ha ha! The "Witch way to the candy" and the "Trick or Treat" signs also came from the dollar store. The pumpkin tree was my craft this year! I got the pumpkins that are hanging at Target in the dollar spot and then used one of the branches from my huge tree we cut down to make my "Halloween" tree. The pumpkin in the back on the bench the tiny one is the ONLY pumpkin I was able to grow this year... AND it was on accident too ha ha! So that is a HUGE accomplishment right? The scarecrow rug came from Target three years ago! I just LOVE Target! The sparkly skull I got this year for .10 cents at a yard sale! The large pumpkin next to the big corn stalks is also one from The Grandparents garden. Oh yeah! See those small cornstalks? Well... those came from my garden ha! Yeah needless to say we didn't have ANY corn this year. The cute pumpkin pillow on the bench is also from Target in the dollar spot and the green pillow was supposed to have an orange and white cover but that's a whole other story.. so it stayed green and it is from JcPennys.

The Front Room:
Welcome to the inside of the house! Yes, it is cold enough here in Idaho to have the fireplace on..
The wreath I got at a yardsale three years ago for only $1.00! It sure was a steal of a deal. If you know me you know I LOVE, LOVE yardsales! The "spooky" banner, leaves and bats I made! Woo-hoo for being crafty eh? The basket with pine cones I got at my bridal shower and the pine cones I got at the food bank. The Queen of Halloween book by Mary E. I got from Seagull Book a long time ago! I absolutely LOVE her and if I can get my hands on any of her work I will for sure. The little bear I got also a long time ago and I can't remember from where. Miss Fiona's Stupendous Pumpkin Pies book I also got from Seagull Book two years ago it is way, way cute! The two little witches I got years ago from the Dollar Store they are some of my most favorite decorations! The Charlie Brown book I got last year from Shopko after Halloween.

The "fall" banner is one I also made. The pumpkin printable I got from Pinterest and the leaves I got from James' grandma.

Once again the "boo" banner I made! I got the leaf garland from Micheal's last year. The orange flowers are from the Dollar Store and I got them awhile ago. The "spooky and I know it" and the boo dog little figurines I got from Gordmans two years ago after Halloween. The candles were FREE from Bath and Body Works and they are pumpkin apple scented and they smell AMAZING! The sparkly pumpkins and the orange one my grandmother gave me last year because she knows how much I love to decorate. The scarecrow metal stick thing is from the Dollar Store and I got it three years ago. The plant that it is sticking in is from my mom again just something she no longer wanted. The sign on the right I got this year from the Dollar Store! Gotta love cheap decorations right?

The Kitchen:
Welcome to the kitchen! Again, I made the "Halloween" banner but I did not make these bats. I got them three years ago at the Dollar store. The leaves you can see hanging in the window I also got at the Dollar store then just attached them to some twine that I also got at the Dollar Store.

The leaves are again from James' grandmother and the "pumpkin spice" printable was from Pinterest. The other leaves on twine were just leftovers I had so I sat them there.

Well that is all for this Halloween house tour! I sure hope you had a fun time and enjoyed! I would love to see your decorations so please leave a comment below or send me a picture!! Thanks for stopping by!
