Crafts Here & There!

This week I have been in a super crafty mood. It's probably because my grandma sent me a surprise package that I received last week on Saturday that was full of buttons! Beautiful buttons. *Back story..* My grandma used to be apart of a button club and has millions of buttons which now she's giving some to me for my crafts! YAY!

These are a few of the wonderful buttons that my grandma sent me. I have made them into necklaces, well I'm going to be making them into necklaces ha ha. I think they will be very fabulous! I can't wait to be able to wear them. Thanks grandma for all the wonderfulness!

Along with my button crafts I have been making birthday cards for everyone in the family! I can't wait for them to get their cards. I am lately in love with my Cricut and all the fun things it can do. Makes making cards that much easier and a lot more pretty!

New Year, New Me... ha ha!

On Friday James and I went on a date to Texas Roadhouse. It was the first time for both of us. The only reason we went there is because James parents gave us a gift card for Christmas. It was very delicious. James picked out the appetizer and of course he chose cheese fries. They were pretty good. It probably helped that I was starving too ha ha. James got a steak and I got a hamburger. We both really enjoyed our meals and will probably be eating there again. But boy was it a lot of food.

I finally painted my nails. It feels good to have them painted again. It has been awhile since I have painted them. The nail polish was a Christmas present from James' grandmother. I really like the pink but I especially love the gold! Next time I will just be painting my nails gold.

Lately I've been watching too much HGTV. I decided that I wanted to "re-decorate" our home. So I took some tips from Fixer Upper and Property Brothers and let my inner interior designer come out. HA! James laughed at me because he knew exactly where my decorating tips came from. Especially with decorating with some books. But hey.. I think it looks good and it makes me feel so fancy.

Along with this "new" me I came up with this killer workout. It might not seem like much but for me it is. Especially since I'm out of shape ha ha. But this will get easier the more I do it. I decided to motivate myself that I need to spoil myself a little.. by getting workout clothes, a sports bra and an awesome water bottle. Today I feel super motivated and since I did this workout I feel a lot better. I'm hoping I can stick to this and do it daily. I want to feel good about myself and get out of this little "rut" I'm in. So here's to a new year.. and a new me! Ha ha!

Food, Valentines & Winter

Last night I took The Mr. on a date. (A selfish one.. I just didn't feel like cooking ha!) We went to this fancy restaurant over in Lava. I don't know that we will eat there again; the food was good, just a bit too pricey. I got french dip sliders and James got a Hawaiian style hamburger.

Well, Christmas is finally down and Valentines is up. I'm very excited because I normally don't decorate for Valentines because it is my least favorite holiday. But this year I "went all out" for it. I think what I love most is the heart banner. It turned out so cute! I'm thinking about making a few more to try and sell. I also made one other banner than hangs over my kitchen window and it say be mine. It is also really cute! If you haven't noticed, I have a banner addiction now ha!

The weather here in Idaho sure has been odd. On Wednesday it was fairly warm and on Thursday and today it dropped clear back down to being cold. So the fog outside is horrible. But it was kind of cool to see all these wonderful ice crystals all over. I absolutely love this picture I was able to snap. It's just so wintery. It is currently my desktop background and looks so fab.

The New Year

This last year was filled with so many fun and hard memories. I think 2014 was one of the best years though. James and I were able to attend general conference. We went to the Journey concert. We moved out of Utah. We went to Seattle, WA to see my best friend get married and lastly Brandon left for his mission. It was a very filled year. 2015 sure has a lot to top but I'm sure that it will be just as great. I'm so grateful for our many adventures and all the many, many blessings James and I received. Thank you to all who were apart of it. I love you each so very much. Can't wait to see what this year will bring for us all!
